Hello there everyone! This is my first post on this little blog, that's going to serve as not only a convenient store for all the various RPG homebrews I make, but also as a blog to document as I write them!
Starting as we mean to go on, I'll open up with this, a collaborative effort between myself and one Gareth Thomas, part of our Shattered Glass Alternate Setting for the Chronicles of Darkness! This is a Homebrew book for Mage: the Awakening Second edition, in which you will find;
- Three new Paths and Watchtowers
- An overhaul of the old Legacy system, turning it into a Tradition system, bringing in 11 (or 22 depending on how you want to count it) Traditions a la Mage: the Ascension (some taken directly, some inspired, and some entirely original in creation)
- A return of the Technocracy and their 5 Conventions with overhauled lore to fit the Chronicles (and Shattered Glass) setting.
- New rules for Potions, Research, and a new Familiar system for one of the Traditions.
- A complete overhaul of the Seers of the Throne, turning them from a shadowy force enforcing the Lie, into an Apocalypse Cult worshipping the Exarchs as the beings that will restore "Paradise".
All in 451 Pages, 228,000 words of content for you all. This is technically incomplete, as we do at some point intend to commission artwork to insert, but from a writing and mechanical perspective, it is done! Right now, we're eager to share, and of course, if you have any feedback (we're by no means perfect authors), then we also have a Discord, linked below.
EDIT 18/07/2023 - Version 1.1: Changed Protarches Arcana to Space/Time and changed Character Creation to make you start with fewer dots, but get a third Ruling Arcanum for your trouble.
EDIT 24/07/2023 - Version 1.2: Added a rolling Wisdom Cost to the Custodians of the Light's 5th Attainment - The Cleansing Light of the One.
EDIT 28/07/2023 - Version 1.3: Added Tools and Materials to each of the Paths.
EDIT 13/08/2023 - Version 1.4: Fixed the Ruling Arcana Clash problem.
